The Faces of Hunger appeal was developed
to help Food Banks communicate the needs of their diverse
clientele to donors. The ask is well-supported with statistics
and facts. Care is taken to communicate how the donor's gift
will benefit the local community.
The Spring Annual Campaign is a simple,
straightforward appeal that reminds donors in the local community
that they can make a difference in the lives of hungry people.
The Christmas appeal leverages the spirit
of the season in a bright red envelope containing a colorful
cardboard "food box" ornament. This package is a
simple but direct reminder of the boxes and bags that donors
can help provide for hungry children and families. This appeal
brings in significant year-end income for Food Banks.
Our Thanksgiving Acquisition achieves high
response rates at a very economical cost. It brought in more
donors in 2003 than any other acquisition medium.
The School's Out appeal is a high-impact
piece with fun, playful graphics that make it stand out in
the donor's mailbox. The message emphasizes the increased
financial demand on families in summer, when children are
not receiving breakfast or lunch at school. This appeal is
an effective cultivation tool in a traditionally slow giving
season.
The Thanksgiving Bag appeal uses the latest printing
technology to create a unique and personalized message. The
"bag" envelope visually conveys the Food Bank's mission of
providing food to hungry people.
